Singer Winnie Nakanwagi aka Winnie Nwagi says that she met Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga before he was appointed the Katikkiro of Buganda.
Nwagi met Katikkiro during a show that was organized by Mesach Semakula at Papazspot on Saturday.
“I met Katikkiro before he became what he is today. I was also not yet a star like I am today during our first meeting. It’s great to meet him again when he is now the Katikkiro of Buganda.”
It is a honour that Katikkiro loves my music and it sounds good to have him as my fan, it’s so special to me.”

Nwagi is under the Swangz Avenue label and is one of the best female musicians in the country.
Nwagi’s music career began when she became the second runner-up during the second season of “CocaCola Rated Next” music competitions in 2014.
She has released a number of songs including Embeera, Katono Katono, Gwenoonya, Kyowulila, Ssi kunyama, Kwata Essimu, Bwogana, Amaaso, Jangu, everything among others.
