15th March 2022 marked seven years since the passing on of dancehall artist Ak47 brother to Chameleone, Weasel and Pallaso.

AK 47 died mysteriously after he was found lying unconsciously in the rest rooms of a hang out bar called Dejavu and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at Nsambya Hospital on the 15th of March 2015.

The Mayanja family headed by their father Mr Gerald Mayanja organized a requiem mass in memory of the fallen artist at their ancestral grounds in Mityana district Kalangalo village.

It’s at this memorial event that the late’s mother Proscovia Musoke Mayanja revealed that the family has never gotten justice for their son.

“We didn’t get any justice at all, this case was being handled by Katwe police but they kept on tossing us around for weeks and nothing came out. “

“The last time I went to the police station for a follow up, the OC shouted at me and asked me why we don’t give up on the matter?! So if you get to know what happened then what, will that bring back your son?”

I was very disappointed but I latter heard the President say on radio that Katwe police is the most corrupt police station in the country, this made me give up for good. My husband went there for a follow up too but the case file was none existent at the police station.

AK 47 the Tukikolemu singer is survived by 3 children. May his Soul continue Resting In Peace.
