Geoffrey Lutaaya the Kakuuto County Member of Parliament says he cannot contest for the speakership due to lack of experience.

During an interview with BBS terefayina, the musician turned politician revealed that they are formidable people whom he thinks can fill the void left by the late Jacob Oulanyah

“I cannot contest for speakership because I lack experience. I am still new in the Parliament and of course learning who things are done.”

I strongly believe we shall elect a better person to replace the deceased Oulanyah.”

On Oulanyah,

“He was a great man, I remember him for giving me time to talk about the road issues in my constituency.” The country has lost a great person and I send my condolences to his family and friends.” Said Lutaaya

Meanwhile, at least four names from the ruling party have expressed interest in the vacant position.

They are Mrs Anita Annet Among, who is also the Bukedea Woman MP, Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees Hillary Onek (Palabek), State Minister for Defence Jacob Oboth Oboth (West Budama South) and State Minister for Sports Denis Hamson Obua (Ajuri)
