Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has clarified that the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II used KLM Airline when traveling to Germany in August last year not the Presidential jet.
The development comes after Chief Justice Owiny Dollo said at the Vigil of the deceased Speaker Jacob Oulanyah in Muyenga that Kabaka was flown out of the country to Germany for specialized treatment by the Presidential jet
“I want to clarify that when the Kabaka was traveling to Germany in August 2021, he used KLM Airline not the Presidential jet.”
Mayiga also requested for humanity at this time when the nation is mourning the death of Oulanyah
“We call upon for humanity during this time of the death of our brother Oulanyah. We pray to the Almighty to Judge his soul with mercy. We also pray to the Lord to strengthen the children of the late at this trying moment.” Stated Mayiga.
Oulanyah’s body is expected to arrive in the country on Sunday, 27th March and burial is scheduled for next week.
