Oulanyah’s body finally home

The body of the former Speaker of Jacob L’Okori Oulanyah arrived at Entebbe International Airport via Ethiopian Airlines on Friday afternoon.

The body was received by Vice President Jessica Alupo, Speaker of the 11th Parliament Anita Annet Among, Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa, Members of Parliament, family members and cabinet ministers.

Among breaks down in tears

Several mourners wore bowties in honour of the stylish Speaker. Acholi dancers also performed the Bwola dance which was Oulanyah’s favourite.

Oulanyah’s body body has been taken to the funeral home in Mengo. A lot of activities will continue in honour of the deceased until his burial on Friday, 8th April at his ancestral home in Omoro District.

Oulanyah was pronounced dead on 20th March by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He died in Seattle, Washington USA.
