The national Unity platform camp in Omoro has been hit by the fatal news of the death of one of their prominent members Yakubu Yusuf Kiggundu.
Kiggundu who has been serving as the elected LC III Councillor for Kazo Angola in Kawempe died on spot.
Others including a one Nusifa Nakato are battling serious injuries and are being treated in the nearby hospitals.
They were traveling to Omoro in Gulu district for a campaign rally of NUP candidate Toolit Simon who is vying for a Parliamentary seat to replace former speaker Jacob Oulanyah.
