On Wednesday evening, KCCA FC confirmed the release of right players who included Yassar Mugerwa, Gift Ali, Patrick Kaddu, Davis Kasirye, Simon Andrew Kigozi, Innocent Wafula, Joseph Bukenya and Erisa Sekisambu.
Immediately after the list was released Mugerwa regarded the news as fake on his social media platforms and revealed that he hasn’t terminated his employment contract at the club
“Regard this as fake news haven’t terminated my contract.” I am a graduate who understands what mutually terminated means.”

Ugolemwa understands that the 13 time Uganda Premier league champions did not clear Mugerwa’s sign on fee at the time he joined the club. He also wants the Lugogo based side to pay the remaining year on his contract.
The midfielder joined KCCA FC as a free agent at the start of the 2021/22 season on a two year employment contract.
Mugerwa last featured for URA FC, a side he joined from the now defunct SC Victoria University.
The has also previously played for URA FC, SC Victoria University, Ethiopian clubs St. George, Fassil Ketema, Shire Indeselassie, Sidama Bunna.
He also played for Nkumba University and Mutundwe based Super Cubs Soccer Academy in the lower divisions.
