Some officials from Uganda travelled to watch Commonwealth games on TV in their hotel rooms. UBF boss Muhangi

Uganda Boxing Federation President Moses Muhangi says that some travellers from who went for the ongoing Commonwealth games in Birmingham watch on TV in their hotel rooms.

In the villages we don’t have more than 100 ugandans, 81 athletes and about 20 accredited officials.”

“All the other travellers from uganda are in hotels, watching the games on TV.”

They basically travelled from uganda to come watch games on the TVs in their hotel rooms.”

Muhangi added,

“The Queen of England through the Commonwealth Games Association feeds , accommodates and facilitates travels expenses for all the athletes & officials from & to their countries plus all the inland movements.”

“Everybody who is in the commonwealth games village, is paid for airtickets, food , accommodation and inland movement.”

“Your government only caters for your training kits, competition kits and allowances. And maybe to send you to qualifying events if your sport requires qualifications.” Said Muhangi

Muhangi also stated that the minister of sports, chairman NCS, General secretary NCS were the first people to arrive in Birmingham yet they claim government is yet to release money for preparations.
