Sierra Leone forward Mohamed Buya Turay has revealed that he missed his wedding in order to sign for Swedish side Malmo.

Turay recently joined Malmo from Chinese club Henan Songshan Longmen.

His brother represented him at the wedding ceremony

“We got married on July 21 in Sierra Leone. But I was not there because Malmo asked me to arrive earlier,” Turay told Swedish outlet Aftonbladet.

On the photos he posted with his wife Suad Baydoun

“We took the picture beforehand, so it looks like I was there, but I was not. My brother got to represent me at the actual wedding.” Said Turay

Turay is yet to see his wife since then, he however took time to post romantic words to his wife

“I married my sweetheart, wife and my best friend today. What an amazing human being. And What a blessing!!! Mrs SBT Suad Baydoun. I can’t wait to enjoy life with you together soboti.”

He also promised to take Baydoun for on honeymoon to Sweden when the Swedish league ends.

Malmo are currently 5th on the 16 team log with 30 points and 3 adrift of leaders Djurgarden. The forward has six caps and is yet to score since his debut in June 2017
