Nigerian singer and songwriter Oluwatobiloba Daniel, aka Kizz Daniel who held a successful concert in Uganda last week was arrested by police in Tanzania for failing to perform at a show.
Kizz Daniel who currently has one of the biggest song on the continent Buga ft Tekno was supposed to perform at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania on Sunday but didn’t show up.
Like expected, the fans that had been waiting for the singer in vain turned rowdy and started vandalizing property at the venue.
Earlier in the day videos of fans at the venue destroying property had been making rounds with police forced to swing into action.
The reason for Kizz Daniel’s failure to show up was apparently because he left his bags in Uganda that had all his clothes and he couldn’t use any other clothes, well the Tanzanian police did not have any of this nonsense and went ahead to arrest him.
This is not the first time that Nigerian artist is arrested and sent to the coolers in the East African part of the continent.
It should be recalled that at the heart of the COVID 19 restrictions, Nigerian artists Omah Lay and Tems were arrested by authorities in Uganda for violating COVID 19 restrictions.
The two had performed at a show going against presidential directives in the country.
In another viral video, Kizz is seen to be disembarking from the back of a police vehicle with three of his bouncers and being led into a police station.
We wait to see how the issue will be resolved for Kizz Daniel who is meant to be on his Afro Classic World Tour to proceed with the tour.
