Former Lubaga South MP Paul Kato Lubwama has stated that the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago was never beaten by government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo.
Two weeks ago, Lukwago claimed that he was badly beaten by Opondo during the NBS Frontline program.
“Lukwago was never beaten by Opondo, that boy doesn’t even have scars and claims to be beaten. He only thrives on public sympathy, he was anyway right to study law. You cannot ask for Shs500m from a man like Opondo whose salary is around Shs2m to 3m. My advise to Lukwago is that he should ask the government to give him a role of a Judge otherwise he has nothing new.”
Kato also requested new Justice and Constitutional affairs minister Norbert Mao not to intervene in Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya’s case
Mao should just eat his money, he should not intervene in the Ssewanyana and Ssegirinya case. It’s Museveni who arrested them so Mao should think wisely.” Added Kato
