A senior four student identified as Peter Othieno was killed by his friend Dawson Mudecha a 26 year old in Tororo, Kasoli Village.
Othieno a student of Rubongi Army Secondary school in Tororo went to demand his Shs1000 from Mudecha.
According to Police Mudecha severely boxed and kicked Othieno on his lower abdomen on Thursday which was the cause of death.
Musa Mugwe, the Bukedi South Region Police Spokesperson Othieno passed on on Friday morning at Tororo General hospital
“The friends rushed to the scene together with other neighbors only to find Othieno groaning in pain with blood oozing from the nose and mouth.”
Mugwe also confirmed that Mudecha is now detained at Tororo Central Police station as investigations continue
“It’s very sad to lose such a young person because of the misunderstanding arising from Shs1,000. This is a matter that they would have sorted out easily without engaging in a fight.” Mugwe as quoted by Daily Monitor.
After postmortem, Othieno’s body was handed over to the relatives for burial.
