Police has arrested four for allegedly robbing a French national at the 2022 Nyege Nyege Festival in Itanda falls.
The four suspects are Walker Enyonyozi a student at MUBS, Eddy Ssekamwa, Abdul Sseguya and John Kasule.
French national Quentin Perie Jolu accused the four for hitting him with a blunt object before taking his phone and other things.
Before reporting to Police, the Red Cross society found Quentin unconsciously lying along the Nile River banks from where he was rushed to Butagaya health center III for further medication.
One of the suspects, Kasule told Police in his statement that,
“We are based in Kampala city and only accessed this festival as revelers but our coordination person here is Enyonyozi who helps us to spot soft targets with expensive jewelry and designer handbags,” he said.
The four suspects are currently in custody at Buwenge Central Police station.
