Nicholas Bwayo, a district councilor representing Buwagogo Sub County in Manafwa District was murdered by unknown assailants.
Bwayo’s body was dumped in river Manafwa
Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, Rogers Taitika says investigating are on regarding the murder.
“It was reported that he left home and went to the funeral of late Sande Butali but didn’t return home, only to be discovered dead by one Mataki in the river.” Taitika said as quoted by Daily Monitor
Taitika also confirmed that they have no arrests so far as investigations continue.
The murder happened at Naayo Village, Bunasaka Parish, Buwagogo Sub County in Manafwa.
