Muhoozi promoted to General, Kayanja replaces him as CLF

The commander in chief of defence forces President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promoted his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba from the rank of Lieutenant General to General.

The rank of General is the highest in the Uganda People’s Defence Forces.

Muhoozi has also been dropped as the Commander of Land Forces.

He has been reached by Maj Gen Kayanja Muhanga, the current commander of Operation Shujaa in the Democratic Republic of Congo from the rank of Major General to Lieutenant General.

Muhoozi continues as Senior Presidential Advisor to Special operations.

The developments comes after Muhoozi revealed on his Twitter account that he had a conversation with his father and expected changes to be communicated.
