Ugandan Club suspends player for excessive drinking

Defender Mike Kawooya has been indefinitely suspended from Blacks Power FC for excessive drinking of alcohol.

The experienced defender left camp on 2nd-October only to return the following morning very drunk and out of order

The club released an official statement indefinitely suspending him and ordered him to return everything for the club,

“On 3rd/October)2022 about 7:00am you arrived at the camp extremely drunk and out of order, you caused inconveniences to the players resting in their beds ”

“With such character you certainly didn’t give time for your recovery and healing something we all believe puts the club at a loss to keep a player who has no personal displined and professional public conduct.”

“With such acts the club made a decision to indefinitely suspend you with effect from 4th/October/October and you are reminded to return all the club properties to the club premises.”

Kawooya a tested and proven defender joined the newly promoted side as a free agent.

He last played a season back and was part of the squad that guided Arua Hill SC to the top flight.

Kawooya is a former player of Busoga United, BUL and Tooro United.
