“President Museveni will stand in 2026, he is going to be on the ballot paper. Muhoozi is not going to appear on the 2026 ballot, not that I don’t want him but what I know is President Museveni is going to stand again.”

“Muhoozi is a Ugandan and has the credentials but is not going to stand in 2026 and I repeat the President will stand again.” Said Kakooza

Kakooza is remembered for spearheading the removal of the age limit in 2017.

Uganda celebrates 60 years of Independence, 36 years under President Museveni and 24 under others. After his current term, he will have ruled the country for 40 years.
