The second edition of the Miss Curvy Uganda contest will officially be held on Saturday 15th October at Club Ambiance in Bukesa.
This was confirmed following a press conference today held in Bukesa.
The event will also mark a return of the famous contests after an absence of three years.
The first edition was held in 2019 just before the lockdown and the contest since then went in a limbo before returning this year.
Annie Mungoma the CEO of the competition confirmed the return to the media.
” We shall have an event on Saturday, 15th October, 2022 at Club Ambiance, where we shall crown the new Miss Curvy Uganda queen. The event will be free of charge. ”- Annie Mungoma said.
It should be remembered that Belinda Nansasi won the inaugural edition in 2019.
Belinda who was also in presence at the presser, sang full praises of the contest on how it changed her life.
” Miss Curvy Uganda has been a blessing, it has improved my self esteem and I am glad that I am in a position to help other women through the NGO i started”- Belinda Nansasi said.
The contest is organized to recognize a taste of fashion by the contestants and test their intelligence as well as appreciating their body size.
The organizers have already revealed some of the final contestants who include Beatrice Nagenza, Daisy Nalukowe, Mukaye Erina Martha, Shirat Nassuna, Zaina Mbabazi and Dorah Nakanwagi.
