Galaxy FM Co-owner dies in nasty accident

Galaxy FM Co-owner Pius Kamugisha perishes in a nasty accident along Entebbe express highway.

Kamugisha was heading at his home in located in Ssenge, Wakiso District on Saturday evening.

Kamugisha in his car UBK 320P Benz overturned as he was trying toovertake a government car registration number UG 0382D on the Kajjansi-Busega route via Express highway.

According to Traffic police publicist ASP Faridah Nampiima said the accident happened since Kamugisha wanted to overtake a government car

@FNampiima “The territorial traffic police at Kajjansi have registered a fatal accident at Nakigala along the Entebbe Kampala Express highway. The accident happened on the 22.10.2022 at around 2200/C”.

“Towards Nakigalala at Kilometer 19, the driver of UBK 320P decided to overtake MV UG which was driving in the outer lane at a short distance and in the process he knocked it. Kamugisha lost control and knocked the middle concrete barrier with the vehicle crossing back to the outer lane before rolling to the trench and overturned several times.” Said Nampiima.

He was Co-owner of Galaxy FM with his longtime friend Innocent Nahabwe. They started with Blue Cube, an SMS media company.

Kamugisha is expected to be buried in Ibanda District on Wednesday.
