Qatar’s goalkeeper Saad Al Sheeb had a nightmare as his side lost 2-0 to Ecuador in 2022 World Cup opener.

The South Americans cruised to maximum points thanks to a first half brace from their skipper Enner Valencia.

Before Valencia’s brace, Qatar’s No.1 punched the air before spinning around completely losing track of where the ball was in the air.

He was saved from embarassment as VAR cancelled the goal for offside.

Ugandan soccer fans baptized the custodian with a name Sekadama and some have called him the worst ever goalkeeper.

One fan said,

“Qatar Baalese Sekadama mu goal (Qatar brought Sekadama in goal)

Another fan reacted,

“This is the worst custodian have ever seen at the World Cup.” The guy is so poor.”

Other commented,

“Why didn’t they leave the goal empty. He is disrespecting the game.”

“Naye oyinza okusanga nga match allowance buli omu $500k.”

Meanwhile, Valencia become Ecuador’s leading World Cup goalscorer with a tally of four.
