Two perish in Kampala-Masaka road accident

Two people have been confirmed dead, 15 injured in the Kampala-Masaka road accident that happened on the evening of Saturday 26th November.

Two cars a Toyota Noah and a taxi, Toyota Hiace crashed around Jalia City in Mpigi District.

Abdul Ssekkuma the driver of the Toyota Hiace and Sandra Akurut residents of Nansana, Wakiso and Namungoona respectively died on spot.

The 15 who sustained severe injuries were rushed to Nkozi Hospital and Buwana Health Centre IV for further treatment.

“It is a rainy season and roads tend to be slippery. We are also approaching the festive season where we usually record increased road crashes. Let our people adhere to traffic regulations. A big number of such road crashes is as a result of human errors which can be minimized but most motorists have failed to take heed and we end up losing lives,” Mr Juma Maggwaw, the Katonga Regional Traffic police spokesperson said as quoted by Daily Monitor
