Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have confirmed the death of Niclette Soye a wife to their Congolese striker Darcy Mbaka Mpoyi.
Soye unfortunately died in the Congolese capital of Kinshasa.
“We pass on our heart-felt condolences to our player, Darcy Mbaka Kipoyi, on the passing of his wife, Niclette Soye, in Kinshasa, DR Congo.”
“Our thoughts are with him and family at this trying moment.” Vipers tweeted.
Mbaka Mpoyi is one of the six Congolese players playing for Vipers.
The 27 year old dreadlocked striker joined Vipers at the start of the current season but hasn’t hit the ground yet.
At 27, he is a journeyman of sorts having had spells at AS Vita, Kada Sport, FC Lupopo, Nzakimuena, Sanga Balende all in Congo as well as Zambia’s Lusaka Dynamos.
