The Uganda Police has confirmed that three Prisoners jumped off Prison truck which was transporting then to court in Pakwach.
The remandees identified as David Otoyrwoth charged with theft, Simon Peter Atipo ( defilement case), Vincent Wathum and Guma Benson Mambo both charged of stealing a vehicle are the four that escaped.
Police has however arrested Vincent Wathum as the search for the others continues.
“Vincent Wathum was however re-arrested but the other three are still at large”.
“Police registered a case of escape from lawful custody, some relevant statements were recorded and effort to trace for the suspects is on,” said Josephine Angucia, the regional spokesperson as quoted by Nile Post
