Former Forum for Democratic Change Secretary for labour Habib Buwembo and other 47 other party members have crossed the National Unity Platform.
Last week, Buwembo announced that he had resigned from his role at the Najjanankumbi based party.
On Sunday, he was officially unveiled as a new member of the National Unity Platform at their headquarters in Kamwokya.
Yasin Nyanzi, NUP Chairman Mobilization Committee welcomed Buwembo to the leading opposition party.
FDC Party President also wished Buwembo and other colleagues the best in their new political journey.
Buwembo contested on the FDC ticket for the Lubaga South Member of Parliament post during the 2021 General elections.
He lost to National Unity Platform’s Aloysius Mukasa in the election.
