Witch doctor kills two for stealing a Bull

Police in Soroti is on a manhunt of a witch doctor who was hired from Kapelebyong district to perform rituals that could help in the recovery of a stolen bull.

The witch doctor identified as Simon Opolot was hired by Emoru Joseph a resident of Agaya Village in Soroti after his bull was stolen.

As Opolot was performing his rituals, two biological sons of Emoru were affected, became unconscious and died at the scene.

The victims are Etonu Micheal and Okello Levis aged 30 and 40 respectively.

Before they passed on, Opolot told the relatives that he was to find medicine to heal the two victims

The traditional healer just disappeared and when his phone was contacted, he requested for Shs2m. The family solicited the funds and sent it to him but the traditional healer didn’t return.

According to NACOTHA, the suspect is not licensed with them.

Police are now hunting him for two counts of causing death, practicing withouts a certificate and for extortion of money.
