UBC humbles itself, backtracks on broadcasting Cranes vs Tanzania

Earlier today, this website reported that the local football organizing body FUFA through its lawyers had served Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) with a notice of intention to sue if they continued running adverts of the said game.

Now like a scared dog with its tail between the legs, the national broadcaster has taken heed to FUFA’s notice and backtracked on broadcasting the Cranes game as earlier advertised.

In a press release put out on their official social media platforms, UBC indeed said they will not be able to broadcast the game as they do not have the rights to the game.

According to the Confederation of African Football guidelines, the home game rights are with the National Football governing body, FUFA
