UBC Sports presenter Phiona Namiiro alias Fifi Pinky has allegedly been suspended.
According to journalist Nation Media Group Journalist Gabriel Buule, Fifi was suspended for defending Eng.Immanuel Ben Misagga in his Twitter exchange with FUFA boss Moses Magogo last week.
In his tweet, Buule has called upon the Speaker of Parliament to always protect the freedom of the press.
“UBC Sports presenter @FifiPhionaPinky has been allegedly suspended for defending Eng. @BenMisagga in his Twitter exchange with Fufa’s Moses Magogo. We call upon @OfficialFUFA @ParliamentofUg3 The Speaker @AnitahAmong to protect Freedom of the press.”
It is alleged that FUFA President Magogo is behind Fifi’s suspension.
According to sources, John Barnes Sentamu also a Sports Journalist with the National Broadcaster has been suspended as well over the same incident.
