KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso has resigned from his role after their 1-0 defeat to Soltilo Bright Stars in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Nordin Bunjo scored the only goal that sent Bright Stars into the Semifinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Byekwaso resigned moments after the club were eliminated from the Uganda Cup by Bright Stars.

“I have taken my decision as a coach today I have resigned because I am seeing player power into the team. I am not going to go on facing such situations, when we train, we give every player a role to play but once a player does not respect that role, it bring disorganization into the team.” Said Byekwaso.

Following his resignation, the KCCA faithfuls also bid farewell to him shouting at him that he should go with his colleagues.

“Togenda wekka, genda ne banno.” The fans shouted to Byekwaso

KCCA FC are currently second on the UPL log with 38 points they have garnered in 19 games this campaign, five adrift of leaders SC Villa. They next travel to URA FC.
