I have no special interests in Speaker Among. MP Onen to Parliament and Hon.Magogo

Gulu East Member of Parliament Hon. Charles Onen has clarified that he has no special interests in the Speaker of the 11th Parliament Hon.Anita Among.

Last month, during the heated debate that saw Members of Parliament (MPs) pass the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, 2023, the Rev. Fr. Charles Onen (Laroo-Pece Division\Gulu East, Independent revealed that there’s nothing so sweet and so good for a man more than a woman

“Rt Hon Speaker, when I look at you and all honourable ladies in this House there’s no reason for a man to run after another man for sex. There’s nothing so sweet & so good for a man more than a woman,” Said Onen at that time

On Thursday, the Catholic Priest however came out to clarify on his previous submission

“The other time when I pointed at the moon, all eyes were on my finger and the one who was disturbed most was Hon Magogo. I want to clarify today that I did not have any special interest in the speaker.” The priests are the chief witnesses in the holy matrimony and a witness by definition is a person who has the facts and you cannot be a witness if you don’t have the facts.” Onen made his submission before parliament passed the amended Anti-homosexuality bill.

Rev Fr Onen, is a vocal Catholic priest renown for criticising some politicians and fellow religious leaders during church sermons is a former Radio Maria Gulu Director.
