Singer Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone has been discharged from the hospital in the United States.
Chameleone has been receiving treatment at Allina Medical Hospital in Minneapolis where he was admitted in June due to serious stomach complications.
In a brief statement issued on Sunday, Chameleone thanked his fans and family for “the love, support, and prayers” he received during his hospitalisation.
“Your kind wishes have truly given me strength through this challenging time,” he added.
Chameleone’s father, Gerald Mayanja, recently revealed that his son Chameleone had been sick for several months.
“When he moved to America, the illness became worse. He is now so sick that he is on his sickbed. He has been having complications in his stomach that he is currently receiving treatment for,” Mayanja said in an interview with Bukedde TV.
Chameleone revealed on Sunday morning that he is making significant progress
“On the road to recovery” and thanked the hospital for its “significant role in my progress.”
“I am confident that I will return to good health soon,” adding, “God has always been good to me.”
