I was not aware of three new recruits at Vipers, Isabirye reveals

Alex Isabirye Musongola confirmed his resignation from his role as Vipers SC head coach on Wednesday evening.

Isabirye revealed that the club breached his employment contract while recruiting two Brazilian players Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez and Luiz Otavio de Araujo as well as his assistant coach Raoul Lukusa Kayembe from DR Congo.

The tactician stated that he knew nothing about the recruitments and this is one of the reasons he decided to step away.

On why he missed training for several days, Isabirye asserted that he was involved in an accident and he had informed the Chief Executive officer at the club Simon Peter Njuba.

For starters, Isabirye had been summoned by the club and he was set to appear before the disciplinary Committee today for absconding from duty.

In his absence, Kayembe has been in charge of the team training sessions at the Kitende based side.

He won the league title at the expense of Villa and won the Stanbic Uganda Cup after beating Police in the final in Lira. He was also named the coach of the year.
