Two suspected goat thieves burnt by an angry mob

Two suspected goat thieves were burnt by an angry mob on Wednesday, 23rd August in Butebo District.

One of the deceased has been identified as Muhamed Saronyi Husiyini  Koire, a resident of  Kalamira village, Busiki county in Namutumba district while the other has not yet been identified by police.
According to Emmily Immaculate Alaso, the North Bukedi region police spokesperson, the two were riding motorcycle number  UFQ 023G TVs carrying stolen goats.
She adds that these two suspects were caught by angry residents at Nasenyi parish, Kabwangasi sub-county in Butebo District while taking off that is when they started beating them after killing, they burnt their bodies into ash before alerting police.
Alaso condemned what locals did and warned them against holding laws in their hands adding that they have exhibits of burnt motorcycle and goats which they are going to use for investigations.
By press time, the remains of the suspects had been taken to Mbale regional referral hospital for postmortem.
