FUFA bans two more players for match fixing

The FUFA ethics and Disciplinary committee has banned two Goalkeepers for five years over match fixing.

The two custodians are Northern Gateway FC’s Oringa Franco and Calvary FC’s Maganda Saleh.

The Committee found goalkeeper Oringa (Northern Gateway FC) and Maganda guilty of violation of Articles 41 (Manipulation of football matches or competitions or match statistics), Article 24(3) (General Duties) and Article 42 (Failure to report) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

According to FUFA Oringa and Maganda were involved in activities aimed at arranging or influencing the results of matches for betting purposes in violation of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.

Oringa and Maganda are hereby banned from taking part in any kind of football-related activity at the national level (administrative, sports or any other) for a period of five (5) years, as of notification of this decision.

They joins Andrew Waiswa, Mahad Yaya and Godfrey Lwesibawa who were also banned by the Federation for five years.
