Police on Friday, September 22, 2023, said they were hunting for two armed men who shot and injured two people during an armed robbery in Ntinda, Nakawa in Kampala city.
Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said the incident happened on Friday at about 8:00 pm at a Riham Depot in Ntinda.
“The territorial police at Kiira Road Police Station are investigating a shooting that happened today at about 8:00 pm when two thugs riding a motorcycle entered a Riham depot located in Ntinda and asked for money from one of the managers, Sserunkuma.
“Unfortunately, he didn’t have this money and ended up shooting him and fled with his phones,” Owoyesigyire said.

He said as the thugs fled, they shot at a passerby who was rushed to the nearby hospital and police were trying to establish the identity of the second person.
“While they were fleeing, they shot at someone who we believe was rushed to the hospital which we are trying to trace,” he said as quoted by Newvision
