A Primary three pupil aged 9 years in Lyantonde district died after being electrocuted on his way from school. The deceased identified as Devis Nyesiga who was a pupil at Buyaga Primary School in Mpumudde sub county.
Our online television, #FatwesTV tried by all means to reach the Officer in Charge of the Lyantonde Police Station, says the deceased touched on a bare electricity wire as for him he didn’t know its end results because he’s innocent.
The wire was reportedly hanging near on the road side like how you see it in photos and it has taken long since it was brought there
The residents accused Umeme Uganda officials in the area of leaving the wires hanging despite several pleas and they added that there’s another resident identified as Ibrah who died some few days back.
For enough investigations the body of the deceased was taken to Lyantonde hospital for postmortem tests and later the body was buried at parent’s home.
