Fuel tank claimed two lives in Mpigi-Kavule on Sunday evening on Kampala-Masaka road.
The accident happened at around 8:35PM with fuel tank registration number UAX 996L/UAL 712X Mercedes Benz knocking a young boy on the road side.
It then went ahead to crash into other people who were seated on a Veranda at Kavule town, killing another person and leaving three with injuries
The deceased are Innocent Magala a 15 year old and Bruce Mazinga who are both residents of Kavule in Mpigi District.
Mazinga was a friend to area Member of Parliament Hon.Kiyiga Hillary Innocent alias Dr.Hilderman.
“I have lost a brother in a nasty accident on Masaka road.
A petroleum truck lost control and entered a building killed innocent once’s who where sitted at the veranda. This happened at KAVULE KIRINGENTE. Number of the dead not yet confirmed but my brother Bruce died on spot. Till we meet again blood RIP BRO.” Said Hilderman
Steven Ssansa, Frank Kizza and another male who is yet to be revealed are those who were injured.
The deceased bodies were taken to Mulago Hospital, City Mortuary while the injured individuals are at the referral hospital nursing injuries.
