Police in Lira city are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of Okello Harron who was shot dead by his biological father .
Haji Ogwang Joe 57 years old a businessman also resident of Ireda estate in Lira city east division shot his biological son using his pistol.
The gruesome murder occurred on Tuesday afternoon at a place called Camp Swahili cell Lira city east division.
Preliminary findings indicate that at around 2 pm while Haji Ogwang was at his place of work, he was attacked by Okello, his biological son demanding for money.
In the process of fighting, Okello tried to disarm his father and in self defense , Ogwang discharged a bullet which injured the son seriously.
Ogwang has since handed himself to police after the incident and is currently held at Lira city police station as investigations continue.
The body is currently at Lira regional referral hospital mortuary pending postmortem.
