Mpuuga: It was an honour to lead a team of young multi skilled and talented political novices

On Thursday, 22nd December National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine made a reshuffle in Parliament leadership.

Bobi Wine replaced Mathias Mpuuga with Joel Ssenyonyi as the leader of Opposition.

Mpuuga’s tenure as LoP had come to an end after two years and half. He has hailed his party President and Members for the opportunity to service as LoP

“This is to express my sincere gratitude to my party National Unity Platform and the President Bobi Wine for entrusting with the leadership of the Opposition in Parliament of Uganda.”

“It was an honour to lead a team of young multi skilled and talented ‘political novices’. I’m glad that we’ve been able to make the best out of them.” Said Mpuuga before adding,

“Thank you to colleague MPs, the staff and the leadership of Parliament for the backstopping you rendered during my time as LOP. Thank you for being part of my daily challenges and outputs. ”

“I can’t thank enough the people of Nyendo-Mukungwe who sent me to represent what they believe in.”

“Thank you the people of Uganda for keenly following the work of The Alternative Gov’t Uganda and routinely challenging us to do more and better.”

“I promise to forever be available whenever and wherever given opportunity to be at the service of Uganda.”

Mpuuga will now replace Hon.Zaake Francis Butebi who was named as the Deputy Opposition Whip.

Hon. Medard Lubega Sseggona replaces Ssenyonyi as the Chairman COSASE.
