President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has revealed that he has realized that opposition in Uganda runs to NGOs to report instead of Police.

The president was on Friday evening giving his Christmas message at State House in Entebbe.

“I have realised that when there is an issue in Uganda, the Opposition runs to NGOs to report instead of going to the Police. This is the Republic of Uganda, so external forces will not help anyone.” Said Museveni

On running for Presidency in 2026

“About running for president in 2026, we shall talk about that one at the right time. Don’t put yourselves on pressure over that non-issue. That one will be decided, because the opportunity for transition happens every five years.”

President Museveni also urged Ugandans to remain vigilant while enjoying the festive season and watch out for any suspicious individuals.
