Mrs. Sarah Ali, wife of the second deputy prime minister and head of government business in parliament, retired Gen Moses Ali, is dead.
Sarah passed away at Medpal Hospital, Kampala, on Monday afternoon, a source close to the family revealed.
The Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has confirmed the death in a statement dated January 8, 2024, and condoled with Moses Ali.
“With deep sorrow, I announce the death of Mrs Sarah Ali, wife to Rt. Hon Gen (retired) Moses Ali, the second deputy prime minister and deputy leader of government business in parliament,” the prime minister said in a statement.
According to the Prime Minister, there will be a vigil for the deceased today (Monday) night at Naalya estate, along Paul Kasule road.
The body of the deceased will be transported to Adjumani for burial on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 and will be laid to rest later in the afternoon.
