Over six players set to leave SC Villa

SC Villa is likely to release over six players in this January transfer window.

According to Swift Sports Uganda, Peter Onzima, Rogers Atukunda, Aslam Ssemakula, Charles Batibwe, Cyrus Kibande and Ramathan Juma are likely to depart the 16 time Uganda Premier league champions.

Winger Onzima joined SC Villa at the start of this season but the club head coach Dusan Stojanovic clearly doesn’t rate him enough to give him a proper run in the team and Onzima may want to seek regular minutes elsewhere.

Midfielder Batibwe joined the record Uganda Premier league champions from Big League side Kiyinda Boys.

The midfielder has been a fringe player in SC Villa squad since his arrival in the previous transfer window.

Aslam Semakula is the other name on the exit door at SC Villa. He joined the record champions in 2020 from Nakawa 4th division Side Kyanja FC but sources reveal that the club has opted to let him go.

Rogers Atukunda, Ramathan Juma and Cyrus Kibande are the others on the exit list.

SC Villa finished the first round in fifth place with 26 points they collected in 15 games.
