Mbarara City FC sign former SC Villa duo

Former SC Villa forwards Pius Wangi and Benson Muhindo have joined Mbarara City FC.

Wangi has been a free agent since expiration of his employment contract at Rwanda based side Sunrise six months ago.

Wangi has put pen to paper on a six months employment contract with the Wasswa Bbosa coached side.

Wangi joined Sunrise from SC Villa during the 2019/20 season and featured for the side for the last four seasons.

He has previously featured for Vipers SC where he won the 2017/18 Uganda Premier league title and 2016 Uganda Cup trophy before he joined SC Villa.

Wangi also played for St.Mary’s Secondary School Kitende in various schools Championships.

Meanwhile, Muhindo leaves Gaddafi FC with six months left on his contract having joined the club in the previous transfer window on a six months employment contract.

He also joined the Ankole Lions on a six months employment contract.

Besides featuring for SC Villa and Gaddafi FC, Muhindo has also played for Rwanda Premier league side Rwamagana City FC.

Mbarara City FC were 11th at the end of the first round of the season with 17 points they accumulated in 15 games.
