Former Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojovic Micho has mocked Algeria after their shock defeat to Mauritania at the 2023 AFCON tournament.

Algeria crash out of the group stages after losing 1-0 against Mauritania on Tuesday.

This was Mauritania’s first win at the continental showpiece and it sent them into the last 16 where they will meet Cape Verde.

Following the defeat, former Cranes coach Micho mocked Algeria via his X,

“Dear Algerians, I am sorry for unfortunate situation next time
better. What goes around comes around. What u Cooked in September almighty Allah
served u in January. Football is cruel game at least now u know
how 50milion Ugandans felt in September as you were thinking you will escape.”Said Micho before adding,

“I do not mean anything just sorry to all of you for situation happened to your team. Next time it will be better in football you either win or learn lesson.Wishing you all the best.”

Uganda Cranes were in the same Qualification group with Algeria who advance alongside Tanzania. Following the disappointing campaign Micho was sacked by FUFA.
