Nakivubo Stadium will officially be opened on 1st June, 2024 with various games on the menu for sports lovers.
The stadium will host two test matches between Kitara FC taking on URA FC while Express FC will battle arch-rivals SC Villa on the same day.
On the same day, Moses Golola will renew his kickboxing rivalry with Umar Ssemata in a test contest.
Boxing fans will also have a chance to watch Zebra Ssenyange Jr taking on Kitaka Ibrahim in a boxing test bout.
CAF Security personnel Dixon Okello has assured fans of tight security during the grand opening.
For starters, the Stadium was closed in 2015 and a project to renovate it was announced in 2017 as a collaboration between the Ugandan Government and Ham Enterprises.
At the redeveloped Stadium, Ham has installed seats, a gym, modern boxing ring, Basketball court.
