Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa set to grace SC Villa’s crucial game on Saturday

SC Villa will need victory over NEC FC to clinch a record extending 17th league title on final of the 2023/24 season.

The 16 time Uganda Premier league champions are top of the standings with 54 points heading into the final day.

Deputy Speaker of the 11th Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa who is a staunch SC Villa fan is expected to attend the club’s game away to NEC on Saturday at Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Tayebwa was also in attendance when SC Villa lost last season’s championship on the final day at Wankulukuku.

Under the stewardship of Serbian Tactician Dusan Stojanovic, the Jogoos need to maximize points to secure the title.

Villa last won the league title 20 years during coach Milutin Sredojević Micho’s reign.

Last season, SC Villa needed victory over URA FC to secure the title but they flattered with Vipers SC cruising to a sixth title.
