Former Uganda Cranes captain Onyango reveals female musician he would marry

Legendary goalkeeper and former Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango has named the choice of a female musician he would marry.

While appearing on Next Radio’s Morning Switch show, Onyango stated he would marry Ugandan singer Winnie Nwagi.

The Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper was asked, “If you were left in this world with Winnie Nwagi, Lydia Jasmine, and Spice Diana, who would you marry, sister zone, and leave on the side?”

In his reply Onyango asserted that, “I would marry Winnie Nwagi, sister zone Lydia Jasmine, and have Spice Diana on the side.”

In the interview, Onyango also emphasized his support for local content, despite being based in South Africa, where he plays for the prominent football club Mamelodi Sundowns. Onyango noted that he keeps himself updated with the happenings in Uganda.

Denis Onyango has been a key player for Mamelodi Sundowns since joining the club in 2011. During his tenure, he has won multiple South African league titles and the prestigious CAF Champions League title in 2016. Recognized as one of Africa’s top goalkeepers, Onyango has earned numerous accolades for his performances.

Internationally, Onyango has been a stalwart for the Uganda national team, the Cranes, earning over 70 caps including representing Uganda at the 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final tournaments in Gabon and Egypt respectively.
