Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa have part ways with defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri.
The development was confirmed by the club Spokesperson Asan Kasingye who revealed that Kizito has been released due to indiscipline.
“Gavin Kizito has been released due to indiscipline.” Said Kasingye before adding,
“Patrick Jonah Kakande is still a contracted player with the club and is training with the rest of the team. Diego Ssemugera is also training with the team and a contracted player.” Said Kasingye
According to reports, Kizito fell out with SC Villa President Omar Mandela over Shs60M that was promised to the team for their 2023/24 Uganda Premier league triumph.
Kizito returned to SC Villa last year as a free agent on a three-year employment contract after a short stint at the Egyptian side Al Ittihad Alexandria Club.
Meanwhile, Kasingye also confirmed that SC Villa have finalized the registration to participate in both the CAF Champions League and CECAFA Kagame Cup.
