Lumala leaves Croatian side after just three months

Croatian side NK Slaven Belupo have confirmed that Ugandan winger Abdu Lumala has officially left the club.

The former Vipers forward joined Slaven Belupo in March this year as a free agent on a two year contract.

He went on to feature in four games as the club finished 9th on the Croatian Premier League table of 10 teams.

” Abdu Lumala is no longer a player of Slaven Belupo. He arrived in Koprivnica in March of this year and made a total of four appearances in our jersey. Abdu, good luck in your career!” The club tweeted.

Lumala’s destination remains unknown with reports suggesting that he is expected to return to Sweden.

He has previously played for Swedish clubs; Mjallby AIF, Kalmar FF, Varbergs BoIS, Helsingborgs IF, IFK Värnamo and Syrianska FC.

In 2019, Lumala joined Egyptian moneybags Pyramids FC following an excellent performance with the Uganda Cranes in the 2019 AFCON tournament.

He thereafter played for Vipers in the Uganda Premier League until the start of this year.
