Maroons duo on Kitara FC radar

Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Kitara FC are interested in signing former Maroons FC captain David Ndihabwe and Fred Amaku.

Amaku netted 12 league goals for Maroons last season and is expected to sign a one year employment contract. He is a former Busoga United player.

Kitara also want to boost their midfield ahead of a busy 2024/25 campaign where they will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup following their Uganda Cup triumph last season.

Sources reveal that Kitara have tabled a two year employment contract for the experienced midfielder and a compromise is expected to be reached.

Ndihabwe is currently a free agent after expiration of his employment contract at Maroons FC.

Besides featuring for Maroons for two stints, Ndihabwe has also previously played for Express FC, defunct SC Victoria University and Bugesera in Rwanda.

Kitara FC finished fourth on the Uganda Premier league table last season and also beat NEC FC to clinch the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Earlier this week, they also confirmed registration to participate in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
