Proline FC midfielder Gift Abubakar Ali has joined Tanzania Premier league side Coastal Union FC.
The experienced midfielder has put pen to paper on a two year employment contract with the Tanzanian outfit.
Gift Ali was instrumental for Proline FC as they clinched the Kampala Region League title before losing the promotion playoff final to the Big League against Ntungasaze FC.
Besides featuring for Proline FC, Gift Ali has also previously played for Police FC and KCCA FC.
At Coastal Union FC, Gift Ali will join youngster Anguti Louis Amagu who also completed a move to the same club this transfer window.
Anguti also joined the Tanzanian club on a two year deal from Lugazi Soccer Academy.
He has been featuring for Lugazi FC for the last two seasons in the FUFA Big League.
Anguti was the Uganda U-18 national team captain that won the U-18 Boys CECAFA Championship last year in Kenya.
Coastal Union is based in Tanga and Tanga and were fourth placed last season on the Tanzania Premier league table with 43 points.
Coastal Union will represent Tanzania in this year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup due to kickoff this week and are in Group A that consists of JKU of Zanzibar, Dekeheda of Somalia and Sudan’s Al Wadi.
